Stadium, Transport & Logistics, Warfare, Liberty City… you probably feel like you've already come across this figure, don't you? Dank pays homage to these brutal and rigid typographic shapes which constitute a prominent part of our visual environment since the last century. With a wide silhouette enhanced by angular curves and cleverly conserved irregularities resulting in its singular rhythm, this sans serif font draws inspiration from the infamous Bank Gothic (Morris Fuller Benton, American Type Founders, 1930). Unlike the latter —abusively associated with the fields of construction industry, sports or distopian sci-fi movies and video games— this first instalment of the Dank family intends to gently set new worlds for this particular font style while offering alternates styles (allowing to revive small slab serifs or not).
